| In 1994 cousins Jonathan and Bruce Rundman recorded the album Seven Summers and released it under the name THE CHANDLERS. This was the first album on Bruce & Jonathan's independent record label Salt Lady Records. Seven Summers was recorded via the US Postal Service. In the Summer of 1994, Jonathan Rundman and drummer Lowell Michelson recorded basic drum and electric guitar tracks in a garage in Springfield, Oregon, during the earliest OJ Simpson pre-trial hearings. Cassettes of the initial tracks were then mailed to Bruce in Chicago, where he added his vocals and guitar.
Bruce then mailed the tracking tapes back to Jonathan in Oregon, where the final mixdown was completed. The album was released in December of 1994, and Salt Lady Records began down the road of showbiz domination.
Jonathan and Bruce Rundman have been making music together since they were in elementary school. In 1988 they performed publically for the first time, and through the years have performed from coast to coast.
Since the release of THE CHANDLERS Seven Summers album, both Bruce and Jonathan have recorded other solo albums for Salt Lady Records, and continue to perform individually, as well as a few shows together each year.
Songs from Seven Summers can be found re-recorded on various Salt Lady Records releases:
